FGCV Mabel Mayforth Scholarship

Eligibility: Vermont residency required.

Scholarship is available to college juniors, seniors and graduate students (college sophomores may apply in their junior year).  Major course of study must be horticulture, floriculture, landscape, design, conservation, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology or biology with a special interest in plants, ecology and allied subjects.

Amount:
One $1,500 scholarship awarded yearly to a Vermont resident for the next academic year.  Previous winners and applicants are eligible to reapply.  Applicant must be a full-time student at an accredited college or University with a GPA of 3.0 or more.   Applicants may also apply for one $4,000 scholarship offered by The National Garden Clubs,Inc at:  http://www.gardenclub.org  

Selection:
Based on academic achievement, financial need, extracurricular activities, letter from applicant and letters of recommendation. Winners are notified in June.
