The Manatee River Garden Club is a member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. The statewide organization offers publications, programs and events in support of its dedication to protecting and conserving natural resources; advancing the art of gardening, horticulture and floral design; promoting civic and roadside beautification and studying horticulture and the artistic use of plant material.
FFGC largest membership District VIII, consists of six west central Florida counties, Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, and Hillsborough. A membership of over 2,400 in 33 clubs live in this area.
The Manatee River Garden Club is also a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc. which is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. It is composed of 50 State Garden Clubs and 235,000 members. They sponsor programs and activities throughout the United States.
