Sensory Garden 

The Lighthouse of Broward County has a wonderful Sensory Garden.  This garden was installed and has been maintainted by the Ft Lauderdale Garden Club for about 15 years. This January, seven Intermediate Gardeners joined forces with Parkinsonia Garden Circle and planted 300 annuals and help spread 50 bags of mulch. Each year, our Intermediates help with a special project at the Sensory Garden, one year they completed and restored a mosaic wall.  The kids actually enjoy working in the Garden....they have fun, perform a service, receive hours necessary to graduate, AND most of all it helps them earn a Wekiva Campership.
