President Report Winners March 1 District Directors: send to GCSC Awards Chairman Joann Johnson CLUB and COUNCIL AWARD INFORMATION Clubs and Councils have opportunities to apply for four levels of Awards: District, State (GCSC), Regional (SAR) and National (NGC). Each District offers separate awards. Each President’s Packet contains District lists and protocols pertinent to each Club and Council. Clubs/Councils may NOT apply directly for SAR and NGC awards. SAR and NGC Application Forms require signatures of GCSC, Inc. President and Awards Chairman, GCSC 2nd Vice President. Follow specific protocols, including deadlines. A separate book of Evidence must be prepared for each award unless it is stated no Book of Evidence required. Include material applicable to that award only and limit it to 6 pages, front and back, making a total of 12 pages. Neatness and conciseness are very important. Pages should be numbered. Plastic covers for pages add distinction. A typed, double-spaced narrative is recommended. No loose items are acceptable. 1. Presentation: All Books of Evidence must be submitted securely fastened in a binder not larger than 9” x 12”. No larger Books of Evidence or scrapbooks will be accepted. Please check carefully the requirements listed with each award. 2. Outside Cover: The outside cover must have a label attached giving the name and number of the award, name of club, city, district, number of members in the club, name, address and phone number of the person submitting the award. 3. Contents: A. Title Page (first page): Name and number of award; name, address, and phone number of club president at top of page. Begin narrative on this page. B. Table of Contents: This is no longer necessary C. Resume: Narrative of the project or activity to include when and where started, size of project, objectives, member participation, activities to obtain goals and results, statements of appreciation from public officials, cooperating organizations and recipients. Data should be substantiated with dated publicity, before an after pictures, and supporting evidence. Photocopies are permitted.
