THE MASTER’S GARDEN
Beautiful Mary’s garden, place of peace,
Beautiful Mary’s garden, calm and serene.
Place where joy will never cease,
Place where tears will never be seen.
Around this fair garden is always bright,
Jesus is waiting to take all your cares.
Bathed in God’s pure Holy light,
You have only to come meet Him there.
Come meet the Savior there; Come meet the Savior there,
Come rest in His loving care; Come rest in His loving care.
Come met the Savior in Mary’s Garden!

46TH ANNIVERSARY
They’ve been working quietly among us
For the past forty six years,
Devoting time and energy
Along with blood, sweat, and tears.
To make our county beautiful
Is their only pay.
You can see their handiwork daily
As you travel along your way
From the Old Depot Station,
A true jewel in their crown,
To the DFACS Family Garden,
Just a little further down.
At the monthly meetings,
Audrey shares tips and tricks.
I’m sure there are some who say
She can even root toothpicks.
From Olive Forge to Sand Hill Farm
Or the Old Governor’s Mansion,
Filled with Southern charm,
Each member is always looking
For new ideas along the way
To bring back to Jones County
And brighten up our day!!!

FORTY FIFTH ANNIVERSARY
The Azalea District Garden Club
Is turning forty five.
February second nineteen sixty
Was when it came alive.
The beauty of God’s creation
With others they do share
In the planting of flowers
They show how much they care.
In the year two thousand one
At the Old Depot Station
The community came together
To work a transformation.
It is now a garden spot
For all who pass to view.
Enjoyed by county citizens
And those just passing through.
The Club had charter members
That totaled twenty one
Working to improve our country
And having lots of fun.

45TH ANNIVERSARY
(Christmas Carol; Tune of Jingle Bells)Dashing around the town
With rakes, trowels, and hoes
They planted everything
From an aster to a rose.
When they started out
Forty five years ago
No one ever dreamed
Just how far they’d go.
CHORUS:
Garden club, Garden club, give a great big cheer
They work hard to make things nice
All throughout the year! (Repeat)
Down at the Depot
They took a little spot
And worked a transformation
That turned to a garden spot!
These girls made it happen,
Edna, Ann, Lucille, and Marguerite
Don’t forget Ms. Patsy or Louise to plow that field.
CHORUS:
Garden Club, Garden Club, give a great big cheer
They work hard to make things nice
All throughout the year!!
