Horticulture

Horticulture is a constantly evolving subject. SCGC participates in horticulture education through our meetings, presenters and our projects such as Garden Basics.

At our annual Plant Sale, (our main fund-raiser), we educate the public regarding our shared plants, and have master gardeners from the U of I Extension (many of them being SCGC members) answering gardening questions .

We have worked with the Yard to Yard competition sponsored by the Illinois Times and assisted with the judging.
