
Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers are needed for various positions at the U.S. National Arboretum.
Training is provided. A committment of 4 hours a week for a year is requested
with 100 hours a year as a goal.

Current openings:
Gardeners for various collections
Generally from March through December (Azalea collection volunteers work year round)
Training provided, starting with classes in February, 2006
Jobs at the South Farm Germplasm Repository, Beltsville, MD
Propagation, inventory, data base work, gardening
Training provided, starting with classes in February, 2006
Herbarium (where plant specimens stored)
Data base entry, specimen mounting
Training provided; gardeners' training classes recommended in February, 2006
Russian translation needed: geographical and horticultural information to English
