"GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY"

Great Meadows Garden Club celebrates
50 years of Sharing, Caring and Gardening.

The 50th Anniversary luncheon is dedicated to:

The women who tirelessly recruited members for the garden club;

The women who soiled their hands while planting, watering and
weeding to help brighten up the community;

The women who so graciously welcomed new members and
helped them learn about gardening and floral design;

The women who worked through their anxieties preparing for a flower show; and

The women who have made and maintained friendships with other members,
sometimes for over half a lifetime.

                                   HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
                                                to you all

Memories of the past 50 years
Pictures, scrapbooks and yearbooks gave one a chance to peruse the memories of the past 50 years.

2007 Anniversary 2
Elaine Ringer did so well selling 50/50 tickets that the winner received over $100.00.

2007 Anniversary 3
The local merchants responded generously to Sandy Kulp's pleas for contributions. That made a myriad of choices for the Chinese Auction..........dinners, golf,
tickets to a murder mystery or the zoo, flowers and even a snowman with a Christmas tree!
Incidentally, a couple lottery tickets on the mum were winners, $7.00!

Angels in My Garden
                Irene Stanley

Among my gift begonias
Is one called "Angel-wing",
So true to form I fancy
I hear the seraphs sing.
For surely higher beings
Inspired the friendly hearts
Of my new next-door neighbors
To give me these "new starts".

O Angels, hover always
About this garden spot!
Help - me to share life's blossoms
With those who have them not!
And from your shining wing -tips
Shake fragrance for the hearts
Of beauty-hungry thousands
Today, who need new starts!
