MCGC  MONTHLY TOURNAMENT   2009/10

JUNE 

Design        *HERE COMES THE BRIDE*
                   Small creative design in a wine or cordial glass, maximum 12 inches in height.
                   [12, 8, 5 or 3 inch] Any shape design permitted. Fresh and /or dried materials.

Horticulture   Any flowering branch ,10-18 inches length.


SEPTEMBER

Design         “SCHOOL DAYS”
                    Fan-shaped design using all fresh material with a with book as accessory

Horticulture    Geranium/1 blooming stem at least 5 inches in length /any color


OCTOBER

Design         “RAH RAH SIS BOOM BAH”
                    Creative 3 line design with pom pom chrysanthemums  and other material of choice

Horticulture    Sedum/1 blooming stem/any color


NOVEMBER

Design         “HARVEST TIME REMEMBERANCE”
   
                 Horizontal design centerpiece (viewed from 4 sides)in soup tureen or any other 
                    ceramic 
serving piece using fresh vegetables,herbs,flowers and foliage. 
                    Accessory permitted

Horticulture    African Violet ,single or double, in pot not to exceed 4 inches.


MARCH  2010 

Design         “A LITTLE BIRDIE TOLD ME”
                  Diagonal design not to exceed 15 inches in height or length using branches and fresh
                  flowers with bird as accessory. Bird should not exceed 1/3 height of design.

Horticulture   Any flowering or foliage houseplant /pot not to exceed 8 inches diameter.


APRIL  2010

Design         “SPRING AWAKENINGS”
                    Small Triangular design, either symmetrical or asymmetrical, 8 inches in height/
  
                  using primarily fresh flowers and foliage in greens and yellows

Horticulture    Flowering bulb stem/ should be named by genus and species for highest scoring/
