Membership Requirements:  A member shall be a resident of Barrington, willing to chair a standing committee, hold office and participate and share in the work and aims of the Club. Each member shall be required to attend 6 scheduled events during the year, serve on the hospitality committee at a membership meeting, provide a seasonal arrangement for the main service area in the Barrington Public Library, and participate in summer civic beautification/watering and other club projects.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008  Membership Meeting
         at Noon at Barrington Public Library 
         Landscapes & Stonescapes: Kevin Baker, Once used to mark boundaries, pen animals and put unwanted fieldstones to use, stone walls have experianced a revival as a component in home landscaping. This presentation will cover the history, planning and construction of New England dry stone walls through slide-illistrated lectures. Learn about planning new walls, including the pros and cons of do-it-yourself versus contractor-built walls, pricing, project feasibility and size, and sources for materials, while developing a greater appreciation for New England's historic landscape.

Guest fee: $5

Wednesday February 13: Junior Garden Club will meet to work on projects for the RI Flower Show. 4.00PM.

Tuesday February 19: Garden Therapy Workshop, 10.00AM. Call Susan Tamer for details.

Tuesday February 29: Members Field Trip to A&P Orchids, followed by optional lunch at Tickles. Meet at the Presbyterian Church parking lot to carpool at 9.30AM. $10 to cover tour fee.
