Recycling Project News
We are adding a new recycler. Gazelle accepts digital cameras and other electronic gadgets. To find out which items will recycle go to: gazelle.com.
Don’t forget to continue collecting ink cartridges, cell phones and accessories. Bring items to state conference, Conservation Camp, any District II meetings, District II Judges Council or TAGS meetings. All monies collected from the recycling project go to the TFGC scholarship fund.
Here is some information from the two recyclers we have been using.
RecycleFirst was part of an effort that kept 23 tons of materials out of landfills.
“The recycling market and “The World of Green” have grown exponentially over the past five years. Last year we were able to divert over 88 tons of cartridges out of the landfills and over 35,000 cellular phones. We could not have done this without the individual efforts of people like you.” recyclefirst.com
Empties4Cash started recycling and fundraising services in late 2002. Since then, they have been able to recycle more than 3 million cartridges with the help of their member groups - schools, churches, individuals, non-profit organizations and more. empties4cash.com
