PRESIDENTIAL AWARDS 2007-2009 Donor: Jerry Shriver, WVGCI President P1. SPONSOR NEW GARDEN CLUB AWARDA $100 Cash award will be presented at the 2009 WVGCI Convention to the District that sponsors the greatest number of new Garden Clubs during the two-year period. A $50 cash award will be presented to the District that sponsors the second greatest number of new Garden Clubs. A book of evidence is not required. Submit a single page listing the names and locations of the newly sponsored Garden clubs and the name of the sponsoring clubs. P2. THE BLUE STAR MEMORIAL & BY-WAY MARKER AWARD A $100 cash award to be presented at the 2009 WVGCI Convention to the District that dedicates the greatest number of Blue Star Memorial and By-way Markers during the two-year period. A book of evidence is required containing pictures of the markers and listing the locations, dates of their dedication, names of sponsoring clubs and any other pertinent information. P3. THE YOUTH CONTAINER GARDEN AWARD A $50 cash award to be presented annually to a Junior, Intermediate or High School Garden Club that establishes and maintains a container garden project to enhance a public property.
